Newport Assembly of God is dedicated not only to it's members, but also to reaching out to the community and the rest of the world. Contained in these pages you will find information about our Church, and the services and ministries we provide.

Newport Assembly of God Core Values
1. Full devotion to Christ and His cause is normal. Christ-followers should pursue and continually take steps towards intimacy with Christ. Deuteronomy 6:5, Colossians 3:23, Philippians 2:1-11, Hebrews 12:1
2. Prayer, the indwelling Holy Spirit and clear Biblical teaching is the catalyst for on-going life transformation. Luke 18:1, Ephesians. 6:18, Philip. 4:6, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Jude 1:20, Zechariah 4:6, Acts 1:8, 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:16-17
3. Our church must regularly meet both in large corporate gatherings and small group settings, to best facilitate the accomplishment of its mission. Acts 2:44-47, 20:20, Hebrews 10:25
4. Our church must be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure.

7. Ministry is best accomplished in teams. 1 Corinthians 12, Nehemiah 3, Luke 10:1
8. Our church must be led by mature Christ-followers with leadership gifts who have embraced the mission, vision, and core values of the church. Nehemiah 1-2, Romans 12:8, Acts 6:2-5, 1 Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:6-9
9. Excellence honors Christ and inspires people. 1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:23, Proverbs 27:17
10. Reaching lost people is important to God and therefore important to our church. Luke 5:30-32, Matthew 18:14, Luke 15
11. Our church must express the compassion of Christ by addressing the needs of the poor, weak and downtrodden in our community and world. Matthew 25:31-40, Proverbs 14:31, 19:17, Romans 15:25-26, Galatians 6:10
12. Our church must network with likeminded individuals, churches, businesses and organizations to accomplish the work of God in our generation. Philippians 1:3-5
